Darth Tater #97
Position: Blocker - I love being the brace!
Why did you pick your derby name and number?
I couldn’t decide between four different derby names. So I did an office poll and my coworkers chose Darth Tater. It is a play on words using Darth Vader and my name, Taylor. My number is just the last two digits of my student ID from college. I wasn’t very creative when it came to my number.
Year started playing derby: 2017
Birthday: November 7th

Favorite Foods: I can eat Chinese food all day, every day.
Favorite ice cream: I don’t like ice cream. I know, I am a terrible person.
Likes: Traveling, anything with alcohol, organization, and napping
Dislikes: Drama, people who eat too slow, and I have this pet peeve about email signatures. (You don’t need your photo in your signature, Eric.)
Hobbies: I am actively involved in both the Ardmore and Ada communities. I do a lot of volunteering. I play in a competitive softball league. I am also a yogi, but I’m not annoying about it.
What do you like about roller derby?
I like the challenge that it brings. I am constantly learning something new and having to implement that new strategy quickly can many times be a challenge.
What is your most impressive derby injury?
Fractured ankle
Do you have any advice for people thinking about trying derby?
If you have an interest, it is definitely worth a shot. You would hate to look back on your life and regret not trying it.

Other sports you have played:
Currently, I play on a softball team and I participate in Zumba and yoga (if those count) on a regular basis. In the past, I have played basketball, cheerleading, and soccer.

Why did you decide to play derby?
I had three friends who played previously. When they began playing again, I decided to join them and we all started together.
